Unlike traditional swaddles, the Swaddle of Joy Original has sleeves on the inside of the swaddle. These sleeves allow your baby to be wrapped in a swaddle that gives it space to move its arms and legs around inside the swaddle while preventing your baby from taking their arms out. Thus, preventing their startle reflex.

However, they often move their arms so much that they accidentally take them out of the swaddle which triggers their startle reflex, waking themselves up. The sleeves on the inside of our Swaddle of Joy Original prevent your baby from taking its arms out of the swaddle while allowing your baby to move its arms and legs around. Thus, preventing your baby from triggering its startle reflex and waking up.

Depending on how often you like to do laundry loads, we recommend you purchase at least two products in the appropriate size. This will allow you to use one swaddle while another may be in the wash. It will definitely be helpful to have more than two but we would say a minimum of two swaddles.

Yes. We recommend you start swaddling your baby in the correct size swaddle from day one as it is the best time to begin swaddling. We have heard great feedback from new parents and definitely recommend starting from day one.
